Park Avenue South Branch Now Open

Veteran branch manager Migdalia Velez-Mieles is excited about her opportunity to lead the team at Doral Bank's new banking center at 345 Park Avenue South.

"I've been in banking for 30 years, 18 of them as a manager, and I've worked for other well-known banks," said Ms. Velez-Mieles. "But I am especially fond of Doral and its approach to customers. I'm proud of the personal touch and quality service that we offer and the strength of our product line-up. And I am very proud of our facility. Customers walk into our branch and they feel like they are entering a luxury hotel. I have an excellent staff here and it's our goal to provide five-star service to match."

Velez-Mieles said additional goals include promoting widespread awareness of her branch, growing deposits and meeting the unique financial needs of each of her customers.

"We're a full-service banking center," she said. "I have a lender on site and that's important to me. I don't have to refer customers to a phone number or tell them that someone will be getting back to them." "Customer comments have been great," Velez-Mieles said. "They're giving us a warm welcome and they're ready to do business with us."

Newly opened is Doral Bank’s retail banking center at 875 Third Avenue, offering a full complement of deposit and loan products and services designed to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. Stephen Kargman, a veteran of more than 30 years in the banking industry, is the branch manager at 875 Third Avenue. “After working at a large global bank, I find that Doral Bank is filling an abandoned niche that has developed in the banking community,” Mr. Kargman says. “I believe that people are looking for a local savings bank that offers courteous and friendly service delivered by knowledgeable, committed employees.
